Some of our most exciting creative work at Screenbridge has been with supplement brands. And it's no coincidence.
Supplements have fascinating stories to tell, from the science behind their ingredients to the people who swear by them. But unlike beauty or fashion, the benefits aren't always something you can simply show on camera.
That's where our approach to creative comes in. By combining existing footage, storytelling, design, and motion graphics, we can bring these stories to life in ways that feel engaging, credible, and distinctly on-brand.
And because every supplement brand has its own story, there's no single formula. The fun is in finding the right creative recipe for each one.
Before thinking about graphics, footage, or animation, there's a fundamental creative question: what makes people trust your brand?
Your brand might have a recognizable founder, doctor, expert, or mega-influencer whose authority and personality are central to its story.
The creative opportunity is to build the ad around that person, using editing, design, and motion graphics to amplify their story and credibility.
Think Fatty15 with Ricki Lake or Dr. Drew, where a recognizable personality becomes the anchor of the ad.
If your brand has built a strong community of loyal customers and advocates, the opportunity is to bring together multiple creators, testimonials, reviews, and real experiences into one cohesive story.
Editing and motion graphics give these different voices a unified, recognizable brand identity.
It's not about choosing one formula over another. It's about understanding what makes your brand trustworthy in the first place and building the creative around that strength.
Once you've established the right story, how do you make the product, ingredients, and benefits engaging on screen?
Bring the science to life. Ingredients, research, and product benefits can be difficult to communicate through footage alone. Typography, animation, and visual storytelling help make complex information easier to understand without overwhelming the viewer.
Create appetite appeal. With Dose (see ad below), we used macro shots of the juice, hand-drawn ingredient illustrations, and lifestyle photography to make the product feel fresh, vibrant, and desirable.
But appetite appeal looks different for every brand. Sometimes it's beautiful product photography, sometimes it's the texture of an ingredient, a daily ritual, or a close-up that makes you want to reach for the product.
Build on your brand's visual identity. Great motion design doesn't mean inventing a completely new aesthetic. For Fatty15, we took inspiration from the brand's existing visual world, including its distinctive bottle and capsule outlines, and brought those elements to life through animation.
The goal isn't to add graphics for the sake of it. It's to find the right combination of elements that brings your brand to life.
Supplement advertising comes with a particular set of creative constraints. You can't make just any health claim, and even a creator's personal testimonial needs to meet advertising standards.
That means paying attention to the language in the script, the claims highlighted on screen, and the disclaimers that may need to accompany them.
At Screenbridge, we work closely with brands to understand their approved claims and required disclaimers before building the creative. We also think about how to integrate that information into the design, so the ad stays clear, engaging, and cohesive.
It's not the most glamorous part of making a TV commercial, but it's an important one. And knowing the boundaries early gives us more room to be creative within them.
What makes supplement advertising particularly interesting is the range of creative possibilities.
For one brand, the strongest approach might be a doctor-led story supported by elegant scientific animations. For another, it might be a fast-paced mix of creator testimonials, reviews, and product demonstrations. And for a brand like Dose, beautiful ingredient imagery and lifestyle photography can play a central role.
At Screenbridge, our job is to find that right mix.
We work with the content you already have (UGC, expert interviews, product photography, brand films, and social assets) and explore how those elements can work together.
From there, we can develop different creative executions: a hero-led ad, a testimonial-driven version, a product-focused cut, or new variations built around different messages and audiences.
That's why we've built so many relationships with supplement brands. The category gives us the opportunity to combine strategy, storytelling, design, and motion graphics in different ways, always with the same objective: creating a TV campaign that feels true to your brand and is built to perform.
